Thomas AUGER

2nd Master's Degree Student

My name is Thomas Auger, I am 23 and currently in the last year of my Master’s degree at the University of Poitiers. I am studying in the speciality Cellular Biology, Genetics and Pathology (BCGP) to become a researcher.

My previous internship was about the development of a transgene-free gene-editing platform for tropical crops. And this year I will pass from plants to man, with as a subject the study of the radio induced sarcomas at IRCM of Montpellier.

Théo BRANCHU

2nd Master's Degree Student

I am Théo, 23 years old, and I am currently in my second year of my Master’s degree in Physiology (3P). For the end of this year, I will do my internship in CoMeT, a laboratory studying the cancer cells and their environment. My internship is a collaboration between CoMeT, PréTI, and a physics laboratory Pprime. I am going to be focusing the invasive capacities of the glioblastoma cells by caracterizing their mechanical properties with an uncommon microscopy technique called Scanning Ion Conductance Microscopy (SICM).

Anthony COTE

2nd Master's Degree Student

I am Anthony, currently in second year of my Master’s degree in Physiology (3P). I chose to study in physiology to apply a doctor’s degree in an aim to become scientific researcher. My chosen field seems to be ionic transporters. Indeed, I developped an interest in electrophysiology in my last year of bachelor’s degree with my lessons and my internship. It is why today my symposia’s presentation will be linked with this thematic.

Clémentin JACQUES

2nd Master's Degree Student

I am a student in final year of Master’s degree in Physiology (3P), in Poitiers. Next month, I will start a 6 month internship in 4CS, a laboratory based in Poitiers whose major themes are cancer and stem cells. The research project is about the link between SK3, an ion channel, and GABA receptors, and their potential role in the quiescence status of glioma stem cells. It is an opportunity to acquire new skills and focus on a worldwide issue that is cancer.

Eurydice LAMIRAULT

2nd Master's Degree Student

My first name is Eurydice, I am 23 and I'm in my final year of a Master's degree in Physiology (3P) at the University of Poitiers.

In physiology, the study of the body and its mechanisms is of ever-increasing interest to me, and that is why I am interested in becoming a researcher. In a few months' time, I will be doing a 6 months internship in the field of muscular pathologies, the area I enjoyed most during my studies.

As I am very sporty by nature, my aim is to be able to combine physiology and sport in order to combine a job and a passion at the same time.

Camille LEFEBVRE

2nd Master's Degree Student

I am Camille, I am 21 years old, I am currently in my second year of a Master in Physiology (3P) at Poitiers University. In a few weeks' time, I'll be starting a six-month placement at the Etablissement français du sang in Bordeaux. My aim is to explore new techniques and adopt a different approach to my initial training. For me, this placement represents a valuable opportunity to add to my range of skills as a physiologist, by exploring innovative aspects of biological.

Abdelillah MAARAD

2nd Master's Degree Student

My name is Abdelillah, I am 24 and currently in second year of my master’s degree at the University of Poitiers. I am studying in the specialty Cellular Biology, Genetics and Pathology (BCGP) to become a researcher.

Last year, my internship was about finding the implication of methylation of a specific gene in a pathology (OCD).

And this year, I will continue in this perspective with an internship in the C3M where I will be able to test drugs against methylation perturbations in Lymphoma

Sebastien PIO

2nd Master's Degree Student

My name is Sebastien, I am 23 years old I come from the alpes maritime and I am at the end of a Master's degree 2 Physiology (3P) at the University of Poitiers.

My first attraction for science is really developed when I watched E=M6. The episode that had marked me the most was on the complexities of the human body and its functioning.

It was from there that I wanted to go to scientific studies, and more particularly in pathophysiology. So for my last year of my master's degree, I chose to do an internship at the 4CS laboratory in order to work on understanding the mechanisms of gliblastoma stem cells resistant to different current treatments.

Arthur POUGNANT

2nd Master's Degree Student

I am Arthur, 24 years old, and currently in the last year of my Master’s degree in Cellular Biology, Genetics and Pathology (BCGP) at the University of Poitiers aiming to work in cancer research. I spent my last internship at ImageUP in Poitiers where I used confocal microscopy to study the localization of the CFTR protein in lung epithelial 3D cell cultures obtained from cystic fibrosis patients. I will then study the role of a soluble isoform of the EGF receptor in the pathophysiology and response to TKIs of bronchopulmonary cancers.

Laura VINCELET

2nd Master's Degree Student

My name is Laura and I am 23 years old. I am studying Cellular Biology, Genetics and Pathology (BCGP) at the University of Poitiers. For the end of my Master’s degree 2, I am going to do my internship during 6 months at the Institut des Maladies Métaboliques et Cardiovasculaires in Toulouse. There, I will study the impact of immunotherapy on tumour lymphangiogenesis in breast carcinoma. It represents a real opportunity for me to develop my skills using new techniques and analyze new things.
